Open Question: At Jade Dragon Tattoo in Chicago, does anyone have an idea about how much the following tattoos would cost:?

1) a tiny heart (about 1-2 cm) thickly outlined in black and colored in with pink, right below my bikini line; and 2) three kanji symbols: love, strength, & happiness (I know what the symbols are) about 1 in each, on my very very lower back Just a really rough idea would be great so I can have SOME idea on how much money I will need to make. I have no idea if the heart is a $50 ordeal, or if the kanji would cost $1000 (you get the idea =) Also, is this a good tattoo shop, or is there somewhere better in the Chicago area? Open Question: If you have a tattoo and you gig bigger so your skin stretches, what hapens to the tattoo?

Ok so i have a tattoo on the inside of my bicep. I also work out so i know that my body is growing (not bodybuilder growing, just getting slightly bigger). What happns to the size and shape of the tattoo as this happens? I am about to get another tattoo also on my arm but i need to choose the size of it accordingly so if my arms do get bigger im not sure if the tatto will change size also.ok cool. They'll only get slighlty bigger not a massive difference anyway. I was also thinking that every couple of years i would get it re done just to keep it looking fresh as the colour begins to fade so im hoping that should take care of it yes? more

Okay, so me and my best friend have decided to get a tattoo together. We've decided that we'd like them to REPRESENT each other rather than something daft like each others names. Open Question: suicide girls and the modeling industry interest piece...?

Is anyone else being affected by the "suicide girl craze"? Im a model. A real runway and print model. It seems everyone around me is applying and getting accepted to suicide girls. Then everyone is like yay oh my god your a suicide girl! Your so hot now! Yay im besties with a suicide girl. Etc... I have nothing against suicide girls personally and think its a great alternative for girls who want to be models but since they have piercings and tattoos they cannot be involved in the mainstream industry. anyway I have seen dozens of not even romotely attractive girls get accepted and it goes straight to their head. They get about a shoot or two and think they are americas top model. Saying ohh im a model blah blah blah when really they have one or two shoots and will not be doing anymore. I feel that suicide girls should be at least a little more selective. Their making the model colletion ugly. Im down for a hot girl in some tatoos if she is indeed model material. Im sick of these 18 year old pre-maddonas. Being a model keeps you very busy, and as cliche as it sounds it really is a lot of hard work [if any real models are reading this they know what I mean] im terribly tired of these girls skipping around town all lalala im a model now. I personally cannot call 2 shoots of a career a real model. I think these little cling on girls to the REAL suicide girls need to get over themselves. Stop myspacing that your some amazing human being because you pierced your own lip with a saftey pin and by some luck of the straw you became a suicide girl. Anyone can do that. The real suicide girls look like models and are actually attractive and powerful, they play that up with their body art making them a truely unique model. All im saying is if you take out the piercings and cover up the tattoos and your not attractive then you are not model material...do your shoot and shut up. They are making the industry seem weak and ugly. The real suicide girls that are hot and out spoken and truley rocking up the industry more power to you! Im sick of cling-ons and im pretty sure even some suicide girls know what im talking about. I would be so irritated to be a part of a prestegious agency and be a truley rocking model and then see a strong majority of the agency is becomming full of pre-maddona imature girls with no talent. It makes you look bad in turn because you tell someone "yes im a suicide girl" and then the person is like oh me to...and my sister is one....and my cousin....and her best friend....and her sister... etc. Someone should voice this up. tighten up the loose ends before they ruin what all of us models, suicide and not, stand for. Open Question: best method of tattoo removal?

I'm thinking about getting a tattoo of mine removed for personal reasons. I know about lasers treatments, but was wondering how effective they were, and if there are other--better--methods of removal. Some facts about my tattoo: -It's small, my thumb can basically cover most of it. -It's all black. -It's in an area where light almost never hits it, so it hasn't faded. -I've had it for 3 or 4 years. I think 4. -I'm naturally pale. Think Anne Hathaway or Mary Louise Parker. -My body is pretty good at healing itself. -I'm healthy. -I do have sensitive skin though. From what I've read, light skin + black tattoo =greatest success. But can it go away completely? Or will it just be faded? Any tips for how to find the appropriate doctor/technician? more

Open Question: Anyone know how to put this together?

I'm going to be getting a tattoo at some point, probably within a few years only when I am actually comfortable with a design. I would like to draw up myself a really (really) rough draft of ideas and such, but I'm unsure how to even set it up. My idea parts are as follows: Wolf - Full body or head is still debatable Eyes - Blue or Purple Tribal - Either the wolf itself or with the wolf Elements - Possible ice or fire mixed in somehow! Moon/ Mist/ any background stuff - Optional all depends. The wolf is my main deal though. And the head or body will possibly have a purple or blue highlight within it. I was thinking one baby footprint for each of my kids on my inner wrists. Like on my left wrist, my boy's left foot and the same for my girl on the opposite wrist with her right foot. Then both of their names and birth dates. But I'm not sure. Do you think this is a good idea? Do you think that a tattoo of your totem animal(s) would enhance the connection between human and animal spirit, or does it really depend on the individual being tattooed? I was watching something on the history channel and it showed how people where giving themselves tattoos by poking with a long stick looking needle and some type of ink. It look like it was a tribe from South America. My question is what is the name of this technique or name of the equipment used for this procedure. Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at this question. Im here for answers and help not criticism, please respect that. If your here to help me then here is a little background info. I'm turning 17 this july and as a promised birthday gift i'm getting a tattoo. My father promised me this since i was real young and every year he tells me the same. he is getting my name and later my sisters when she turns 17 along with us. We both want it to be special. to represent me and what i've always loved. For as long as I can remember these things have always played a big part of my life: 1. White daisies. The first thing I see in the morning and the last when I go to bed. The flowers my mother received when I was born and that have always been grown in my yard. limited to 2 daisies in the tattoo. I think a cluster would just look tacky 2. Blackberries. Pretty much the same story as my daisies lol and they're delicious too :) 3. I'm a strong believer of the horoscopes and I am I proud leo. I love the sign no the lion (sorry) 4. Last but not least my music. I've been singing for as long as I can remember and its only singing. i know its summer but my sis if mad about school and i went there too and i agree. I feel (along with my whole family) that the school district is to tough and depressing. The kids aren't allowed to dye their hair any unnatural color without facing unfair consequences. If they dye their hair the school either expels them, puts them in detention or suspends them and makes them dye their hair back to the natural color and they cant come back until it fades. Now to the piercings, students are not allowed to have ANY piercing except the ears and they cannot be past the jaw line. If students have any other piercing; even one no one can see they are forced to take it out or face the same consequences as the hair. They have to take it out and let it heal and they don't pay for they cost of it considering the pain they went through and the money they pay to get it done. On to tattoos, they have a zero tolerance on tattoos anywhere on the body, if they find out you have one you are kicked out of the school. Now mind you this is a public school like any other and they are taking the right of expression out of those kids and it affects them emotionally and i've seen it take its toll on my sister, shes not as outgoing as she used to be and she, i hate to say it but, shes becoming depressed and shes only 12. I want to fight with them. I need to know how to fight or at least help them. I would also like to make a peition to present any help at all would help more

I don't know if shes tried higher but she was literally doing cartwheels in 5 inch heels. She's also really photogenic! Some one can take a picture of her with out her noticing and she comes out bloody gorgeous! But just because she's 5'5 or 5'6 she cannot model? Kate Moss is 5'6? And she's amazing! It's all she wants to do but her family doesn't want her to get disappointed so they tell her to join pageants instead of going for her dream of being a high fashion/runway model. She hates the thought of her being in a pageant. She doesn't mind watching it to support someone or so on but to actually be in it, she HATES it. All she wants to do is high fashion, runway, couture etc. What can she do? I feel really bad.Also i heard a healthy diet and exercise was a "have to" for a model, which is obvious. She is a mediterranean eater, since she comes from the mediterranean side. And she loves exercising. She's also highly intelligent with the knowledge of 4 languages! Open Question: The scabs on my new tattoo came off and it looks dull, patchy, shiny, and wrinkly underneath. Need retouch?

I got a wrist tattoo a week ago, I don't know if the tattoo artist went too deep or if my body just reacts strongly to the wound, but there was thick scabbing over it. Half of the scabbing has fallen off, but it looks a bit patchy and dull colored underneath where the scabs were. The color is there, but it looks like a dull dark grey in some parts and the skin is shiny and wrinkly. Did the scabs fall off too early? Is this a normal part of the healing process or will I need to wait a month and get a retouch?He wrapped it in Neosporine and told me to keep it on for 3 hours. Then I washed it off with anti-bac soap in warm water and have been moisturizing it since. more
